New Test Report 6/7/83
Project Number 9 continues to be the first and only successful test case of a beast blood transfusion. Project Number 9’s regrowth extends to subcutaneous cell structure: beast blood “bodiy morphology memory” test a success. Tends toward extreme mood swings, violence. Further testing will have to be carried out to determine degenerative effects on her mental state. Found to calm down in the presence of biological family members. Test Progress Report 7/9/87
Project Number 4: “Emil the Ageless.” 17 years post success, experiment outcome remains cogent. Project Number 4’s biological age remains 11 years old.
Project Number 9: “Yulia the Bloodless.” 4 years post success, mental degradation is such that she now slays any and all humans save for family. Only Father Wilhelm, Project 4, and Project 19 are to be let near her.
Project Number 19: “Adeline the Bodiless.” 1 year post success. Adheres well to new body. Displays few abnormalities. However, continued caution must be kept well into the future, assuming relapse state..
You flip through the pamphlet. You catch a handful of pictographs–.. strange, dark images of glass and steel, human bodies in pale white garb unlike any you’ve seen above ground. You release a humph and flip the pamphlet shut. You’ll have to ask another to decipher the rest–you can hardly manage even this. You turn your attention to the diary; as improper as it might be to read..

I trust that ours will be the survey to uncover the secret of Jeffrey Arsene and put him to a gentle rest. May the Unfathomable have mercy on our souls.

In advance of my exploration–and possible entrapment, and eternal death–in the Catacombs, I confessed to Montgomery. He told me he had a fiancee. I ought to kill myself here–
You slam the diary shut before you read the rest of it. That page looked particularly tear-stained.
