You drew the sword you'd looted from the archer girl and prepared to defend yourself, when the entire shuttle shuddered.
A rainbow light enveloped the vehicle, and you desperately searched for an opportunity to escape!
A glance out the window showed you a glimpse of Ben's silhouette. He appeared to be struggling with something. Was he...trying to drag the entire ship to the ground by himself?
You didn’t have much time to meditate on this, however. The cabin was flooding with enemies, and you had far too little space to fight them off. You swung your sword, beheading three people at once, and dismembering five more with your following swings, before you were smothered by the next wave.
You could barely swing this sword in this cramped space. It was too long, and you were eventually forced to drop it when they rushed past your weapon and swarmed you all at once! The press of bodies forced you up against the wall, and you had to struggle for every breath!
The ship shuddered violently once more as Ben redoubled his efforts. You took one last look at him, before the rainbow light's intensity made it impossible to make out anything outside of this cabin.
Your heart started racing, and a desperate panic flooded your mind. Primal instincts took over as you punched, kicked, bit and clawed in every direction, fighting for even an inch of breathing room!
Your nails slashed straight through a woman’s body armor to the delicate flesh underneath, and you sank your fangs into the neck of a man who was struggling to restrain you. With a sharp tug, you tore out his jugular and spit it into the eyes of an adjacent target.
Survive. You just had to survive...
The spectral mummy hand reformed itself once more and swept away an entire group of soldiers, giving you room to work. Your limbs blurred as you unleashed a violent flurry that broke bones, ruptured organs and dealt permanent, sometimes fatal injuries to anyone and anything that got in your way.
You didn’t give yourself time to worry about what was happening outside or where you were going. You'd just keep fighting until they ran out of people to throw at you.
-----------
You're not sure exactly how much longer this went on, but eventually, the ship did stop.
Although, it was more accurate to say that it stopped with a lurch. The rainbow light faded at the same time, and even without looking out the window, now painted red with the blood of your enemies, you could tell that you were no longer on the construction site. For one, the light filtering through the window was fluorescent, not natural, so you were definitely somewhere indoors.
Meanwhile, your enemies had suspiciously stopped spawning by this point, and you were able to clean up the rest with relative ease, despite the literal pile of bodies filling the cabin.
