“I’ll go. I don’t think I have your address, but I’ll go. You live nearby, right?” You accept but not without doubts.
“I do, handsome. In case of emergency, this vibrant nurse is always nearby the workplace and up to any task! I’m so devoted to my job, my uncle loves me dearly...” Kata jokes around. “I’ll send you my exact location, come and find me, frisky boy.”
“All right! I’ll be there as soon as possible! See you!” You start walking with a destination in mind.
It didn’t take you long to find her place! And it wasn’t an apartment, Kata is renting a house. It shouldn’t be surprising with her income, and as workaholic as she said she is, that should clear any doubt as to why she can have a place like this. It’s not like it’s the biggest house you’ve ever seen, but it’s pretty nice, and is located in a good place in the neighborhood. She invites you in.
“Ta-dah! Welcome!” Kata invites you in! It doesn’t look like anything special inside, with how eccentric she is, you expected more than this. “I hope you can excuse the drab decorations, they came with the place, and I spend so little time here that I never bothered to furbish it.”
“I think it’s nice! It’s cozy.” You enjoy normal.
“You’re always eager to please, Johnny.” Kata finds your answer charming. “The only place with any charm here is my bedroom, but you’re here for the cheese, aren’t you?” She’s teasing you already as she walks deeper into the house, swinging her hips like she always does. “I’ve been meaning to ask, what are those little friends on your shoulders? They’re rather… <span class="mu-i">captivating?</span>”
“My pigtails…” You sound heartbroken. “It’s a long story...”
“Huh? I shouldn’t have pried.” Kata can’t stand seeing you upset despite her confusion.
“No, I like them as they are now too.” You shake your head.
“W-Well, if you ever feel like sharing this tale, I’d love to hear it.” Nurse Calamity is trying to be really nice, but you have the feeling this is how she treats people with dementia. “Either way, you’re so fortunate my shift ended early today.”
“But it’s night already…” You point out.
“Never mind then! Accompany me to the kitchen, handsome.” Kata invites you deeper into the house, then pulls out a cheese wheel from one of the pantries. “Johnny, I just had the darndest of ideas.”
“Huh? What’s the idea?” You are open to any ideas!
