's a trade city. Lots of folks from all over come this way. We've been tryin' to crack their defenses for years now. No dice." Dice? What are dice? Not important. "Gotta have a good cover to get in at this hour, when our kind like to go about our business."
Resting the index finger of your free hand on your chin, you pondered the information that you had been given in silence. A city filled with a diverse variety of travelers, nigh-impossible to infiltrate during the hours which your sisters could feasibly attack. You've never seen the sun, but you knew about as well as any that your people would never send a raiding party to the surface during the day. This 'Everlund' would make an excellent place to lay low for a tenday - the trouble would be getting in at this hour, if you are still committed to the idea.
Speaking of diverse travelers, another pertinent line of questioning came to mind. "My people. You have seen any? In Silver Marches." He looked to you quizzically, coughing twice. A smattering of black blood lands on your boots. "Yeh, I have. Adventurin' types, mostly. Folks 'round here don't hate 'em or nothin'. 'cept us - we've been fightin' the cult of that damn naked goddess of yours for real long time."
He's talking about Eilistraee, the dark elf goddess of dance, swordwork, and the hunt, among other things. Where you are from, speaking of her is strictly forbidden, and material pertaining to the subject is heavily censored. No matter how drastic the measures employed by Lolth's clergy, however, there was always idle gossip of dark elves freely embracing worship of Eilistraee on the surface.
You sincerely doubted their existence as a matter of principle until seconds ago, but this world evidently did not operate on the same truths as the one you emerged from. Supposing you could find these Eilistraeans, then mayhaps they would offer you refuge? They were still your people, if incredibly unorthodox in their ways, and certainly not aligned with your enemies. Something to consider later.
