>>5717154>>5717170>>5717234"Isidro." You call out to him before he can chuck his salamander knife straight at Griffith. "You know my true name, don't you?"
"Um, yeah? It's Yarilo or something, right? Why the hell you're asking me that right now?"
You take a second to feel if you have any different reactions to Isidro yelling out your true name, yet it seems it had no effect. You seem to have misinterpreted what exactly the falcon of darkness had done to you, as it is not his command or his words that froze you, but the knowledge over your true name made it so his position as a God Hand finger bypassed any free will your body has. Isidro or any regular human cheering for you on a smaller scale will not help you on your cause.
"Never mind, can you help me up? That bastard put a spell on me."
"On it! HRGGGHN!" Isidro pulls his sleeves and makes a gargantuan effort to keep your back straight, yet you manage to balance yourself on your own two feet just fine. Unlike last time, you can finally stand against the Falcon, letting you finally see what exactly he did to make the weight above you so ridiculously heavy.
A tower, piercing through the clouds and into the stars, grey limbs and faces of people you've known throughout your journey. From your dead fathers, to Guts, Farnese and yourself, all holding themselves together and performing a balancing act on top of you to prevent themselves from falling to their deaths. A manifestation of your survivor's guilt which only gets heavier with time.
"Vlaad... please... Don't move!"
"He's going to drop us!"
"I don't want to die!"
Being aware of their presence has only worsened your situation, for even if you know it in your heart that these are mere illusions, you cannot shake the truth in their allegory. Closure is dawning much like the sun in the horizon, yet any movement is guaranteed to doom all you love.
"GRIFFIIIIIITH!" Guts lets his anger overtake him, throwing caution to the wind and slashing the Dragonslayer at his son's body to take the Falcon out of his sight.
...Nothing happened. The sword phased through him, as if he was swinging at the air. As Guts merely thought he missed, he tried it a second swing, and a third, a fourth, and a fifth. All still leaving him completely unscathed as he marched towards Sivir.
Serpico is the next one to try and attack him, using his sylph sword to thrust a spiral cut onto Griffith's chest, which was only blurred his intangible image from a distance, and though he managed to coordinate a few attacks along with Guts, he was equally ineffective.
"OUTTA MY WAY!" Resorting to desperate measures, Hyde used the cannon he got from Rickert to fire and explosive round straight on where Griffith stood, and though the smoke left you anticipating the outcome, it wasn't long before you saw his shining white locks flowing through the wind.
