>>5676418>1 Success, delivered 6 DMG.>No armor roll.>Single hit, Mounted Thief takes all of damage.>2 Failure, 1 hit armored through, received 6DMG.>Single hit, Barth Abram takes all of damage. You press what little advantage you can gain in the crowded wood battlefield. That perfect first strike managed to get a ball rolling, and for a moment you swear you could see an uncharacteristic grin on Haytham’s face rather than his usual nervous expression. The two riders meet your charge, staggering their position to attack you in succession. You tilt your lance up with the leading thief’s strike, glancing and scraping under his arm while his crude blade bashes into your metal-clad arm as he rides past. The second rider tries to capitalize on his lead’s semi-successful strike, but lacks the momentum, you barely even feel the blow. The bleeding lesser thieves scatter toward their mounted companions as you and Haytham turn to make another strike.
“Shit, Gerard’s dead, we need to run!” One of the thieves shouts.
“And let them take the loot!?”
“That knight’s armor’s invulnerable! He’s like that guy that took the Goldhorn!”
The riders each carry one of the wounded thieves, and begin to flee.
Haytham looks at you, confidence slightly deflated after seeing that small blow you took.
>”Only a slight bruise, my boy. We’ve won.” You smile, at least you won’t have to set up your own campsite. (Let the thieves go.)>”Cut them off. We aren’t done here.” (Chase the thieves.)
