You'll just get yourself burned trying to sock this thing in the face, you'll need to find another weapon to bludgeon your opponent. You spare a glance to your left, this time discovering an abandoned sledgehammer near a pile of broken stones, its blunt iron edge covered in a fine gray chalk. It will have to do. The bat takes off into the air in a gust of hot air that blur your vision, the searing flames above fwooshing as it circles around in the sky, eager to cook you into ash. But you're quick on your feet, making a mad dash to the impromptu weapon when the flaming bat swoops in a burst of speed to hit you with a blazing tackle that could set even the air on fire. You grab the hammer in a mighty swing and bash the creature's head in from the side hard enough to split the handle in two, its sudden agility proving to be a fatal mistake.
With a CRUNCH that you heard more than felt, it's sent careening into the ground, scorching the grass and tossing up the dirt. It skids to a stop, the flames getting extinguished by the earth as the beast lies dead, never to rise again.
Even through the adrenaline rush, you can't believe that you pulled it off. You drop the broken remains of the sledgehammer, drinking in the sight of your victory. Whatever happened to you before you woke up, it must be the luckiest freak incident in history if you came out of it this strong. What CAN'T you do at this point? A nagging feeling in your head suggests that there might be more to this metamorphosis than just being pink and powerful...
"Unbelievable..."
"Did any of you just see what I saw? He took it down like it was nothing!"
"The outsider slayed the beast?"
"Our lives are saved!"
The few villagers who were cowering nearby come out of hiding to marvel at your achievement. Which does stroke your pride, not minding the praise and astonishment. Kelper cautiously inspects the corpse of the giant bat you just put in the ground, making sure its no longer a threat. He walks over to you, looking impressed and grateful.
"You said your name was Kabra, right?" He says. "To slaughter that beast without the use of ki was nothing short of incredible, and you've saved my village from destruction. I am in your debt, brave warrior." Kelper bows his head. It's so formal, it almost feels awkward, getting this much praise from getting into a fight. "If there's anything you need, I'll do what I can in my power to help you. You're free to stay here for a while, too." He finishes saying his peace.
What will you ask of him?
>Take the offer of staying here for a while, you'll need to unwind after these hectic series of events
>Request him for directions to the Capital, they have to have a space ship to leave the planet
>Ask Kelper what he means by "ki"
>Something else? (Write-In)
