>>5581740Several large dogs pour out of the opening across the hallway. Even with their distance, you can make out how intimidating they appear. They’re covered in lean muscle and snarl viciously. Perhaps more concerning, they seem to be working in tandem as a pack. They form a line in front of the raised platform and stare you down.
“These are what I call Fenrirs. Don’t let their appearance fool you, they can be quite playful! Now, I’d like to test the effectiveness of these creatures against you. Overseeing the operation will be my assistant, Hypatia. I’m sure by now you’re well acquainted with her.”
The Agarthan Cleric, Nancy, appears on the raised platform in a bout of teleportation magic. Nancy, or Hypatia, as she is evidently known, wields two unfamiliar looking staves in her hands as she stares down at you. You note two other distinctive looking staves strapped to her back.
“Did you think I’d let you get away with how you mistreated me back above ground?” She seethes. “I’ll feed your bones to the hounds! Starting with that petulant brute that dared lay his disgusting, grimy fingers on me.”
The Fenrirs begin barking and charge down the hallway.
