It was something that was going to happen sooner or later, given your talks with your father and the discussions you've had with Jacob.

You and all the other officers were gathered around the usual table, you look around the room, your father looks like he's aged several years over the past few months, in general his health has been on a steady decline with all of the stresses of the move and organizing these various missions. He's been a very reserved and strict person most of his life, so it must take a lot out of him to be as assertive as he's had to be.
Your mother was comparatively doing better, but was still rather haggard. There's been a period of détente recently within the cells internal factions which has eased the stress on both of them, but you get the feeling this will be temporary, You've concerns that things will flare up again once you settled down where ever you will or when you get the Vault populations, one of the two.
Your eyes flicker to Nelson, he seems to have some new bags under his eyes, but otherwise his typical demeanor is unaffected. Even Senator Rockefeller seems to being worn down by the pressures the cell has been dealing with. You might not care for the man but you have to give him credit he always seemed indefatigable in the face of all the matters he had to deal with.
Your father finally speaks up, after taking a drink of water, "Nelson what's the situation with the Reconnoitering team?".
Nelson is quick to respond, "They're soon to return, they've recently come into range of our radio communications." he takes a look at the map, "I-15 is as anticipated relatively peaceful traveling, There were some hiccups upon entering Vegas area however." he points to a map of prewar Las Vegas and the surrounding area, "It would seem that the NCR is increasing it's efforts in the region, a large scale construction effort was noted on the outskirts of the Mojave proper, it seemed to be an outpost of some sort, estimates place it's completion around early 2272."
There's a long quite as Nelson sighs, "Which means by the time we get going we're going to have to pass through an NCR Checkpoint to get into the Mojave proper."
You speak up, "If we go by the I-15. We can still pass through the Divide." Nelson closes his eyes, "We've already made up our minds on this in the last meeting." it's clear he still doesn't think making the full journey through the divide would be worth while.
You shake your head, "Do you honestly think we're going to be able to sneak everything past a military outpost on one of the only chokepoints from California to Nevada even with our cover Nelson?" He frowns, "Do you think we'll be able to move all of our material through a death trap Ford?"
