Inside, the hall is dark except for the light coming through the windows and the hole in the roof, it's daytime, so the fire is low. Several of the older Amazons are relaxing at the tables, eating porridge or mutton, petting the gigantic cats that lounge around the hall, some big enough for you to ride.
The headwoman sits in her highbacked chair and quaffs mead despite the early hour. She takes her duty as your father's chief wife very seriously, and she takes his duties even more seriously. She isn't currently pregnant (or she wouldn't be drinking) but you know your father is doubtlessly hard at work increasing the clan's crop of warriors in the chamber behind those curtains.
"Daughter." The chief says, raising her drinking horn. "Ye'd best come for yer comin of age gift another day, I'm still a wee bit hungover after yer celebration las' night.
"Ah don't wish ta bother ye when yer-"
"Shitfaced?" Your mother says, taking another drink.
"Aye... But I had a strange dream."
She lowers her horn. "... Tell me."

After you share your dream she strokes her chin.
"Dreams are just dreams I say, and ah dinnae care ta send the newest woman o' the tribe off ta her death, unproven, merely on the basis of her dream."
She sits back.
"I'll set ye three tasks. Accomplish what all yer chief commands and ye may go with my blessin."
You bow, raising a fist to your chest. "Ah thank ye mother. The first task?"
She nods. "East of the tribe a mess of toads the size of calves've been snatchin lambs from our flocks. If ye can kill the lot, and nae more show their ugly faces, ah'll consider yer first task done."
