Burgers are extremely political (think first MCD McDonalds opening in Moscow after Cold War, and those first headlines of Ukraine war sanctions US QSR chains YUM brands / KFC, MCD etc withdrawing from Russia etc) if you read the Economist (do not do this, it is an evil vampire propaganda publication) you know they commonly cite the Big Mac Index to compare international Purchasing Power Parity (measure affordability of the same standardised item, a Big Mac, across various countries with McDonalds chains etc)
