“R-Right!” she replies, then after a second adds. “Thanks Dad.”
“Be careful.” you tell her, your daughter ending the link. Immediately you reach out to Meloka, informing her of this development.
“Dammit! I know fooling around with that power was going to cause trouble!” your wife replies. “I have enough base Super Saiyans, including Nappa and King Vegeta here with me.”
“Then I'm there.” you reply, raising your right to your forehead. And with a second's thought teleport to your wife's side, several familiar faces all staring at you upon your arrival.
“And that's everyone.” King Vegeta says aloud, turning to you. “So, when is Lord Beerus supposed to arrive?”
“He's not. He's currently at Dreadzone.” you tell him, everyone's jaws dropping. Several voices shout out, but Vegeta's is deadly calm. He understands fully what's going on. “So that's where WE are headed.”
“Karn. Are you sure you want to unleash that sort of power there?” Goar asks you, his tone uncertain. “That's a lot of collateral damage potential there.”
“Until we know what Lord Beerus's intentions are, yes.” you reply. “I will NOT let him destroy my daughter. Now, everyone hold on.”
With that you raise your right hand to your forehead, focusing your vastly improved ki sense out towards Dreadzone and your daughter. But, as you do, something's wrong. Your daughter's power isn't blazing like it was when the two of you were telepathically linked, as if something is dampening her power. Or a god has arrived, its presence squashing the other powerlevels nearby under its weight. But regardless you find your daughter, focusing exclusively on her and teleporting to her side. One moment later you find yourself outside her suite at Dreadzone Station, the formerly-undefeated Yardratian champion Soba a step behind her.
“DADDY!” she exclaims, lunging for your chest and holding onto you tight. You can almost smell her fear, your usually-fearless daughter cowed by the GoD's nearby presence. “I'm so glad you're here.”
“Well well, I remember you.” a vaguely-familiar voice calls out from behind you and your group, immediately setting off every single danger instinct in your body all at once. “Karn, was it?”
