Partly because you're swaying about and having trouble speaking, but mostly because... well you hadn't given it much thought yet.
The idea of people worshiping you, a faith based on your decree and tending to followers, it's rather a strange idea. In all your life you had always deferred to your goddess, and had yourself been faithful to her. Anytime people might worship you, would be something to correct or punish even. And of course you were never responsible for anything in your life, not even yourself really, for letting mother decide everything for you.
Times are different now though, and perhaps that you're on your own, you should consider the notion of a faith based around you. Humans in support of the sea monster, it seems so strange just to even think, but then these are strange times for you!

Well, a harmless ritual is hardly a whole religion. The Gaelans are satisfied with that for now and you can leave it at that, until you're feeling yourself again and able to better devise a proper religion as you'd want it. And it's not that you won't be thinking about it till then, you'll just be thinking more clearly about it later.
Otherwise then you can continue devoting yourself to partying and plunder through the rest of the day and into the night, enjoying the revelry these humans can devote themselves to. Sure, maybe you're better suited to sinking ships, and killing and eating unfortunate victims. But you've never really had fun this way, and it's nice to broaden your horizons some, gain some new experience once in awhile.
Certainly it helps your tolerance of the humans, easing your disgust and hatred of them a little. If they can come to accept you overtime, then you could afford to soften up a little on them, if a working alliance is to function.
