Okay. Simple. You just have to cheat. All you have to do is to not get caught. Your eyes quickly glance over at your allies. Ashley is the first one who gets the clue and, with her muttering orders to your allies, they prepare to move into action on your command.
You pull out one of your old TRAUMA KITS to wrap up the wound on your arm before tossing it over to your allies. They quickly patch themselves up as well.
>+1 FLESH TO EVERYONE!
<span class="mu-s">"Enough. Let's play."</span> The Admiral snaps his fingers. The two of you begin to move your pieces and, glancing through his mind, you already got a solid idea what he plans to play. Each movement, you counter with just the right move. Whenever you think he's starting to get onto you, one of your allies would leap in with a question to distract him.
"Do you have any family?" Ashley steps up towards the table. "I mean, you mostly look human. You said you lived in the City. Did you settle down with anyone?"
<span class="mu-s">"Used to. Back in 1885. Born to a family back in London. None of them exist anymore. I am all that's left. Never settled with a human. It's beneath me.."</span> You're not sure how much of his backstory is something he experienced or if it's simply what he believes as an anomaly.
You move a knight into position to capture one of his rooks. Thanks to keeping a solid bead on his mind, you keep your pieces positioned just perfectly to make sure he can't capture any. One of his middle fingers snaps in half upon you capturing it. <span class="mu-s">"Feh. Lucky."</span>
"Are there others like you, from your time still around?" Adam asks with a bit too much glee in his tone. "I, well, it would be nice to know if someone from Italy was still around."
<span class="mu-s">"A few. I once saw a blue blooded Demon. Said he was from the land of the Rising Sun."</span> He tries to move one of his bishops into position to check your king but alas, you knew he planned on doing this. You capture it with one of your knights. <span class="mu-s">"There's a power to being around as long as me. A few of my kind still exist."</span>
"What's your name?" Lex quickly spits out another question.
This causes the Admiral some pause. He simply grunts in annoyance, as if the question (or moreso the fact he can't find an answer to it) annoys the hell out of him. <span class="mu-s">"The Admiral. It's always been the Admiral."</span> <<span class="mu-b">"That is all my name is. That's all it will ever be."</span>>
You nod at your allies to keep asking questions. To distract him from what you're doing.
"ANY? REMNANTS? OF THE OLD WORLD? IN NEW ONE?" Benedict chatters out.
<span class="mu-s">"Y-Company. Used to be a transport company back in 1921. Still is, just with a different way of transporting it."</span> The Admiral grunts as you manage to avoid letting him capture anything so far aside from a few pawns, which frankly don't matter. <span class="mu-s">"The rest is new. Divorced from the world I cared about."</span>
"Why stick to 1000 miles from the City shore? Is the Head deterring you?" Ashley asks with thinly veiled suspicion in her voice.
