Velecacia smiled brightly, and turned the cowl of the cloak she had been lent over her head, “I thank thee, Major. It doth not weigh well upon mine shoulders to sit and hide when I couldst aid.”
So the Sky Queen was delivered to the Ellowian officer- her diminutive size and build made it easier for her to fit in a vehicle, though her flowing cloak and dress beneath was ill-suited for the mechanical interior, especially when she didn’t particularly rest on surfaces.
“Ah-“ She gasped when Casimir accidentally pushed on her back when trying to shove her into a more suitable place- there was something beneath, that gave a creaking feeling when pushed, like a bunch of sticks were hanging on her back. “Pray do not crush mine…ah, never mind…”
>The Sky Queen is now accompanying you. Within 5 tiles, your unit spots all targets regardless of cover, though not through multiple layers of cover. However, if your platoon lead subunit is knocked out, she will undoubtedly be harmed.
>Your Northwesterlies aspect resonates with the Queen of the Sky. Your Initiative is increased by 2 while she is near.

To the west, an incursion of Twaryian tanks, despite easily outmatching the reconnaissance vehicles in normal conditions, found themselves unexpectedly outflanked. One platoon was picked apart, and the other had foreseen a disadvantage from the sheer numbers and began to withdraw- but not before losing a vehicle. Long range fire support from tank destroyers combined with rapid maneuvers seemed to be rolling up the flank…
…Yet when Fiskersonn’s platoon rolled up on the town, they found the enemy that had been firing on them as they moved- as well as many others.
The town was swarming with Moskity- and that was only the side they could see.
Up north, as well, Lieutenant Giovanni hadn’t found any targets thus far, as he hung around the rear- many fellow Panzerjager were preparing to receive their pursuers. The weight of fire that they possessed was stronger than it ever had been, and they were well prepared to meet whatever foe might arrive- easy confidence to have, when most of the Chimeras’ guns could pierce tanks from their front to back.
However, when the half-Vitelian put his ear to the wind, away from the gunfire, and looked over the horizon into the darkness…it was too deep in the night to see clearly, but he knew what his senses told him, and intuition as well- there was a lot of enemy on the way. A huge amount. He knew that already, it was the whole reason the battalion was breaking south in the first place, but perhaps it would be a good idea to be ready for the worst…
