Quoted By:
For a long time I was very confused by this Leman Brother, it was a very obscure ancient historical reference. Because in Old English all know that this word "Leman" is very embarrassing, it means lief-man, or man-lover, a beloved or sweetheart:
Faire Venus seemde vnto his bed to bring
Her, whom he waking euermore did weene,
To be the chastest flowre, that ay did spring
On earthly braunch, the daughter of a king,
Now a loose Leman to vile seruice bound
(Edmund Spenser, The Faerie Queene, Canto I)
After consulting many forbidden incunabula of the ancient cahorsins, performing haruspices and examining entrails upon the altar of Bloomberg or "B'Beg", I discovered who this brother of Leman actually is: all know the tale of the long-lost Wolf Primarch, Lehman Russ. His title being a primarch so he is probably from Greece or Byzantium.
The Wolf Primarch Lehman was searching for a mythical grail or cup, it was known as the Chalice of Dolour Overflowing, sometimes called a CDO, in French it is known as l'oultrage du calice douloureux, or having OCD. A great many tears of sorrow and dolour were poured into this mythical chalice, a lot of dolours. Many many dolours.
