Immediately, you leaned away from the wolf and the side, snagging the cartoon horse with a webline and yanking her towards you.
She made a hilariously startled expression when you did so, and you just managed to pull her relatively light frame in the way of the wolf's snapping jaws.
The cow yelped in pain, but there was no blood, or any other clear sign of injury. Her character model was still more or less as pristine as when she'd been generated.
Not wanting to linger here any longer than was necessary, you bounded away and flipped towards Yoshimitsu, catching him off guard.
He prepared to slash at you, but you were careful to maintain a safe distance from him as you began weaving a web cocoon around him.
To your surprise, however, Yoshimitsu did something that you truly didn't expect. With his cursed sword, he actually managed to cut your webbing as you wove it.
Despite the fact that he was an energy construct created by Ember. Despite the fact that he shouldn't be anywhere near as powerful as he was in the actual games. Despite the fact that your new diet should be making your webs stronger than ever, Yoshimitsu was cutting your webs almost as fast as you could shoot them out. All while making bizarre, resonating battle-cries.
At some point, you gave up on the web cocoon and just aimed for his feet to root him in place. This seemed to work, to some degree.
His mobility was severely reduced, but that didn't eliminate the threat of that accursed blade. Sure, you managed to get a few good hits in, but it wasn't long before Giovanna and the horse were back on you. Between the aggressive maneuvers of the rushdown characters, Yoshimitsu's unpredictable fighting style, and Ryu's consistent projection of fireballs, you were feeling the pressure building up.
In the process of avoiding Yoshimitsu’s blade, you earned yourself a swift kick to the abdomen. You leaned away to avoid any further damage, only to feel a sharp pain in your side when the cartoon horse rammed her horns into your ribs.
Instead of resisting, you relaxed your body and let the momentum carry you away from your opponents. And just time too.
Because the sweeping heel kick that Giovanna sent your way felt like it could've taken your head off if it hit you directly.
Kazuya inched a bit closer, and-
Wait, when did he get that close? Either this ring's been shrinking, or you've been jumping around so much that you accidentally maneuvered yourself into Kazuya's path.
Aside from that cheeky maneuver with the horse and the wolf earlier, you haven't really felt like you've done any substantial damage to your opponents. Then again, you suspect that most normal folks wouldn't be nearly as durable as these guys.
If you wanted a chance at winning this, you were going to have to start making plays.
