You lower your voice as you speak to the berserker–you doubt her pride would much appreciate a public display. “..Is something the matter?” You ask. “You look exhausted. You need to speak up when it comes to things like this.”
“I’m fine–” Emilia brusquely begins, but her foot catches the ground at a strange angle and she stumbles. She grounds her foot into the stone below and steadies herself with a sharp gasp. The dhampir and doll up further ahead look back at the sudden noise.
“Everything alright back there?” Ava glances at you.
“..We’re fine. The berserker and I are merely discussing matters.” You respond back. The dhampir shrugs as she continues forward.
“..It’s.. my armor.” Emilia mutters, her face notably flustered beneath the helmet. She rolls her shoulder back several times. “It’s made to be heavier than what a normal human can manage. It’s torture to wear when not berserk. I’m-.. not used to walks this long.”
