>>5501916The Serpent Priestess works over each tight and tried muscle group, before extracting a pigmented form of the balm and applying it in arcane shapes and sigils to the worst-injured areas, and beginning to mutter the verbal components of a spell to speed your natural healing processes.
“This won’t instantaneously heal you,” she admonishes. “You are an ignorant and belligerent creature, to be traveling through hostile terrain before being fully mended.”
“I believe in your good works,” you say coolly.
“Well for my part,” she snaps, “I believe you will get yourself killed, all for… What? Sentimentality, martyrdom? Your half-mammal brain is malfunctioning.”
“Quarter-mammal,” you correct cheekily.
Her tail smacks you again, and you fall silent, simply enjoying her lingering touch. Her hands are fine, dexterous, but soft, untroubled by the toil of hard labour or melee combat. They are the hands of a noblewoman, an artist. They press and probe with the almost-mechanical precision of the cold-blooded, and with the smoothness of a slithering snake, such that even an elf's grace could never match.
“You are fondling more than strictly necessary,” you note quietly after a time.
“I am merely appraising my ‘good work’ in making a proper Dragonborn of you,” she mutters, and ceases, beginning to clean her claws in a nearby basin, made of stolen bronze from the surface and crafted in Northern Human style.
“Right,” you tease.
“Do not be obscene,” she reports, “I am not your loveBUG. I am not even in heat. If you must leer, go find your mate. I am sure the worm will be receptive to your exhausting innuendos.”
“Jealous?” you mock.
“Hardly,” she spits.
You DO feel better, though. Your Fleshweaver may be a technical ‘novice’ of her craft, but she is a prodigy, and she DOES perform rather remarkable works of fleshweaving and woundknitting. You are feeling about up to doing something productive with the remainder of your time here, prior to torpor.
What will you do? [choose no more than two]
