After about a minute to think about it, you grasped Morbius’ hand and shook it.
<span class="mu-r">“You said you’d waive the <span class="mu-i">entire</span> fee?”</span> you asked, not releasing his hand.
<span class="mu-r">“I can,”</span> he replied simply. <span class="mu-r">“But that would require an even bigger commitment on your part.”</span>
<span class="mu-r">“I’ll do it.”</span> you said firmly. <span class="mu-r">“Whatever it takes.”</span>
Morbius nodded, seemingly satisfied, before releasing your hand and reaching for the phone.
<span class="mu-r">“Terminal? Don’t worry about the fee. I’ll reimburse you for this one.”</span> Morbius offered.
You didn’t hear the assassin’s response, but it sounded snippy. The living vampire simply chuckled and hung up the phone.
<span class="mu-r">“If you wish to speed this investigation along, then you’re welcome to offer me any new information that you come across, so that I might pass it to Terminal.”</span> Morbius said, his crimson eyes fixed on you. <span class="mu-r">“If not, then you’re welcome to leave everything in his hands, so that you might direct your attention to other matters.”</span>
You nodded. <span class="mu-r">“And you can send me the details of that job that you want me to do.”</span>
<span class="mu-r">“In due time, Huntsman.”</span> Morbius replied. <span class="mu-r">“In due time.”</span>

After you bantered for a while longer, you and Cindy were led out of the vampire club by one of his trusted bodyguards. All the while, the kid crimefighter was practically vibrating with grim delight at the prospect of having someone as deadly as Terminal going after the voice thief.
Personally, you were feeling nervous about having Terminal anywhere near you, or anyone else that you cared about. But if Morbius trusts him to go out and operate without close supervision, then you supposed that you could think of him as a professional.
That being said, you were probably going to have to report this to the others during your next meeting. They should know that a walking biohazard is about to put himself in the Silvertongue’s crosshairs.
But at the very least, you made some headway in solving two of your biggest problems. Hopefully, both avenues will pan out, and you’ll be rid of both menaces by this time next month.
If only you could be so lucky…
