The fall was not too pleasant, falling onto his face with an impact that shook the wooden foundations of the ship. He gave a small tug at his arms, feeling the limb lift under the sheer weight of the armor.
He had his strength, just enough of it. With a push of will Lucian rose from his crouch and shifted onto his feet. His body felt weird all over from not being used for an entire day and night. He felt a little fear at taking the first step, at the pain that it was going to cause him, then pushed it aside so that he could do exactly that.
A thousand needles flushed his legs then disappeared to be left with stiffness. He gave it a few more shakes as it became more and more like his old flesh. Painful, yes, but he was able to move now.
“Now, because of your recent dealings I cannot really have you wondering about the ship by yourself. Not when the crew still has a bad taste for your guts.” The Captain said as he walked infront of Lucian.
“But what about the investigation?”
“You got a few options there.” He said as he nodded to himself, “First and foremost, you can take a few of my men with you on the investigation. They might bitch and bicker to you, but in truth Knight this kind of thing happens often enough. If there’s a drunken brawl what's happened to you is what we do with the Drunks.”
“Including the throwing of rotting fruit?”
“Usually if someone injures another member of the crew.” He pointed out while shaking his head, “Anyways, a few of my men with you will make it an official duty. Just know that you're still a foreigner on this vessel still and would need to listen to their judgment.”
“What else?” Lucian asked as he felt a pang of annoyance at how little power he had in this short time of not being in Bretonnia.
“Spend a day working with the Crew. If they see you doing good work then they’ll have your back above any of the other passengers.” The Captain said as he titled his head, “Or, wait a couple days and wait for tempers to die down.”
>Take the assistance to start the investigation immediately
>Work with the Sailors to build rapport
>Wait those couple of days so Lucian can do what he wants.
