“I know he’ll be welcomed with open arms in both places! More arms in mind though…” Crossbill wiggles her eyebrows.
“We’ll see, might take you up on that.” You give her a quality thumbs-up. It’s good to know!
“Tell us if you need anything else!” Vortexia has as good of an evil disposition as always.
“We have water bottles if your voice ever gets tired.” Vera shows her water bottle. It’s not Johnny branded. Not even Liu’s. Disappointing.
“I’ll keep that in mind! I’ll be back in a minute...” You leave the door open and walk to the back of the van to keep some distance from the noise.
You’re calling Suan De! She should be at your apartment, since you don’t recall her bodyguard work having begun yet.
“Hey, it’s me!” You cheerfully say, despite your disdain for phone calls.
“Yes, it is.” Suan De deadpans.
“How is it going, Suan De-Winner?” You ask.
“Don’t call me that.” Suan De rolls her eyes. Probably. Either way, she sounds a little happier than usual. “What do you need me for?”
“Huh? I wanted to know who is at the apartment now.” You don’t need a hitwoman.
“Jesse. As the reward for my victory, I’m forcing him to renovate the new room and split it into two, so I can have my own space.” Suan De informs. Jesse is loudly grumbling. “Ruby and Ichie are staying at Ms. Ajna’s apartment until the renovations are done. It should only take a couple of hours. I hope you don’t mind me overstepping your boundaries.”
“If you discussed it with Craig, I’m all good.” You didn’t know that room existed to begin with.
“We’re following his guidelines.” Suan De nods. “But I’d recommend you take your time to return today, or visit Ms. Ajna if you ever feel like returning. I’ll have the apartment presentable as soon as possible.”
“Understood. And congratulations on putting your reward to good use. And, huh, apologize to Jesse on my end for this...” You sigh.
“Very well…” Suan De gets silent for a moment. “My apologies for causing you discomfort.”
“I told you it’s your home as much as it’s mine. Or something like that. I forgot.” You chuckle. “I’m glad you took it to heart!”
“…Thank you, Johnny.” Suan De hangs up. She sounded happy.
