[WOLFBOY] "What do we do now...?"
'We're going in.' I said, reentering the bubble's confines. Wolfboy looked up to me, gasping. But then he nodded and got up. We have to try. We have to.
I took us down in the bubble on a course towards the storm and began flying to the center, where Shennu resided, stirring it.
...
We arrived not long after into the midst of the storm. There, at the center where it was most deadly and roughest, a place completely impossible for mortals or even lesser Immortals to inhabit, where the rain was like bullets pouring from the sky, and the waves were a sinkhole to the ocean floor, swirling in the largest maelstrom I'd ever seen, surrounding by lightning striking every second by the tens. We searched for any sign of her.
'SHENNUUUUU!' I called out as loud as I could, my voice echoing through the entirety of the rift.
The ocean below rumbled. The pressure had unnaturally risen to the top. Now there wasn't a part of the sea left in this area that wasn't distorted. Even the shallowest top was as strong as the crushing pressure of the deepest recess. I saw the bottom of it burst, the enormous body breaking the shaky, foaming surface.
[SHENNU] "HOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR!"
Behold, her. Furious. Her eyes shined in the dark. There, she turned to the source of her confusion; My voice. She stared off at us.
'Shennu!'
[WOLFBOY] "Mom! Stop!"
[SHENNU] "....!"
And that was enough to give her pause when it came to it. Her nose wrinkled, and she opened her eyes, not even making a peep. She saw us.
