“Very well. I agree.” you think to him, the splitjaw looking up at you in confusion. “Go and return to Khor 'Vadam, then reach back out to me. Once you are by his side, I will teleport to you.”
“But how will I signal you?” he asks aloud, not having realized what happened yet. To which you smirk, and continue 'speaking' telepathically.
“Words are not the only way we can communicate.” you think to him, still not moving your mouth. “Take my telepathy with you, then once you have met him you may reach back out to me.”
“What? How are you doing this?” he asks, sounding shocked. “What is this?”
“Telepathy.” you answer aloud, then continue thinking to him. “Once someone has reached you telepathically, you will have a far easier time doing so yourself. Now, don't speak, but project what you want me to know. WILL me to know your thoughts.”
“I understand.” the Sangheili says, closing his eyes as he struggles to do so. But after several seconds, his thoughts finally reach you. “Is this how it is done?”
“Excellent. That is exactly right.” you reply aloud, then continue telepathically. “Now, go. Return to your people, and reach out telepathically when you wish for me to appear to speak to your leader. How long will your return trip take?”
“If we leave today, I should be back on Sanghelios within six months.” he replies, giving you a bow at the waist. “Thank you for your generosity, General Karn.”
“Don't mention it. Now, go.” you reply, the Sangheili bowing again then running off deeper into the forest, no doubt heading to whatever ship he appeared on. A moment later Meloka appears beside you, watching the retreating form of the Sangheili a moment before it turns invisible as well.
“What was all that about?” she asks, you telepathically filling her in as you turn back to the training area. You both walk back as you tell her everything, Meloka frowning as you finish your story. “Are you sure you should have told him that? If they learn telepathy, then their spies can send any information gathered instantly and not have to worry about their deaths.”
“It was a gamble, but one I think will pay off.” you reply, remembering your encounter with the last Arbiter before Freeza destroyed High Charity. “They seem more determined to bury the hatchet, and having already made official peace, this shouldn't be a problem. And, if worse comes to worse, I'll be there right there at the Soulstone to draw on its power as well.”
