You poked your head forth to see where you were going-
-oh, no. It was <span class="mu-i">that</span> path.
Without a second thought, you nabbed Erna's hand and brought her down the other path before she headed into danger. You didn't know what that rustling was and you didn't <span class="mu-i">want</span> to, either. Even if this path seemed long, it was probably safer. Yeah, probably.
With the two of you now headed down the darker path, Erna quickly regained control and huffed. "Hey! What's the big idea? I was tryin' to hurry us up 'n all! We can't just leave Dennis waiting here!"
You shot back pretty quickly, keeping your composure. "You were heading straight into danger. Or, at the very least, someplace with other Pokemon. We can't risk that if it's as danger as you think."
The buneary raised her paw to talk back, before slowly lowering it and grumbling to herself. She started skipping ahead of you instead. "At least we could <span class="mu-i">see</span> down that other one. It's gettin' so dark in here..."
...you hadn't even noticed, but she was right. The comment prompted you both to slow down and just take a look at where you were.
A stare upwards netted a darker sky, one of grey clouds and a deeper-blue sky. The tree branches had begun to intermingle into a thick canopy, and it was becoming hard to see any intricacies in the previously-visible patterns. A comment from Erna brought you back to reality.
"Indie, I think I found the stairs."
"...the <span class="mu-i">what?</span>"
You headed over. What in the world was Erna talking about?
She moved to the left to make space for you and pointed to the ground, insistent. "The stairs!"
A large gathering of roots had formed where she looked, and somehow formed the spitting image of a set of natural stairs. You couldn't see what was beneath you, nor could you make heads or tails of what this was, but Erna didn't give you time to think before she started descending.
You reached out to take her hand, to try and pull her back- but she yanked her paw back to her side and looked at you with complete bafflement. "What're you doing? These help us go deeper into dungeons! It's- it's a bit scarier," she paused, her eyes leaving yours for a moment, "but we haven't found Dennis here, we can't even hear him. We need to go down here."
You hesitated.
Erna gave you a look, her Eyes swelling to Baby-Doll proporitons. "There's no guarantee there'll be danger. And if there is, we can take care of it..."
That just made you gulp, swallowing the breath you didn't realize you'd been holding. You gave a glance back to where you'd come from. That rustling didn't seem... <span class="mu-i">too</span> bad...
>Follow Erna down the stairs.
>Convince her to turn back and check the left path first.
