Remember why I spent all those months away?” he asks her, tapping the first two fingers of his right hand to his forehead, focusing on her energy and vanishing. Using the Instant Transmission the enitre Ginyu Force had been required to learn from Elder Pybara on Planet Yardrat, he teleported behind her, the young girl looking confused until he placed his hand on her head, ruffling her hair through her hat.
“Ah-Hey!” she complains, smiling as she does. Jeice, with his free hand activates the comm line, answering the call of duty.
“Go for Jeice.”
-Meanwhile, on Freeza Planet 79-
“Faster! I have to be faster!” Burter, formerly known as the fastest in the universe thinks to himself as he runs. In the extreme gravity chamber, with the pressure cranked up to forty times New Salda's high gravity, he keeps running on his specially-modified treadmill. Thirty pound weights in normal gravity strapped to his forearms, biceps, boots, shins, and thighs, he keeps running. “Not yet! I can't quit!”
His mind flashes back to the day he nearly lost everything, the day Freeza was possessed by the wizard Babidi. And how he turned on the Ginyu Force, nearly killing him and his team. How if only he'd been faster, he could have stopped the wizard first, keeping the emperor safe. But he failed, he wasn't quick enough. And that's something the Blue Hurricane vowed to never do again.
“Five more G's!” he calls out through the open comm line from his scouter to the chamber technicians controlling it from the outside, who oblige him. Immediately Burter falters, the extra weight nearly tripping him up and sending him falling off the slightly-inclined treadmill ramp. But after a few steps he regains his footing, pushing his body even further. His joints and ligaments ache from the strain, but the Blue Hurricane won't stop from just a little pain. He adjusts his pace, still keeping up the speed he'd been running, but is clearly struggling. “Another five!”
“Sir, I'm sorry, but this is as high as it goes.” the terrified tech replies, Burter gritting his teeth. He's getting faster, but this isn't enough. He needs something more challenging, something MORE to elevate himself to being the strongest in the universe. “Sir, you have an incoming call.”
“I told you, unless it is the Captain, or someone higher ranked than him, I'm busy.” Burter immediately replies, the tech forwarding the call to his scouter. And as he sees who is calling him, the Blue Hurricane is quick to shut the machine down, reaching up and pressing the button to accept the call. “Burter here.”
