>>5340343Ordering Hyde to scout the area, you stop conversating with your informant at Midland's capital and focus on your current predicament. Given how Violet is not in flying condition to scout the area, you'll have to make do with warning the team of what you can see with your Od vision.
"Trolls, huh? I thought these creatures were works of fiction..." Serpico was curious as to what they could look like.
"Everyone said the same about elves and just about everything magical that happenes do far, yet here we are!" Puck chastises him for being skeptical.
"Anyway, what can ya tell us about these creatures?" Hyde plays around with a hay straw between his fingers.
"They're pretty stupid, but they make up for their strength. Nothing you three and the others haven't dealt with so far, but watch out for their packs. Even if they can tear off a human's limbs individually, they have opposable thumbs, so they can be even more dangerous if they get their hands on weapons." Farnese makes sure her studies aren't rendered meaningless, explaining the creatures to the group.
"Since they never walk alone, they will overwhelm any who does not take them as the threat they are."
"I reckon the ladies and the kid can't really come in, given how they're still green." Hyde comments.
"Shut the hell up, bald spot! I can take those apes by myself!" Isidro sways a spare sword you had around, almost hitting Puck with every swipe.
"I've lost plenty of muscle mass... But I think I could handle a few of them... Were it not for..." Casca looks outside, alluding to Guts.
"...Actually, I have no qualms with staying here. You can pretend that I'm part of the scenery." Cindy tests hermetallic hand with a chisel, poorly carving out a self portrait.
"I wouldn't recommend all of us fighting them either, given how these creatures aren't meant to be in the human world. It's possible someone is opening a passageway for them to attack nearby villages, and given how I've felt the presence of 2 magic users inside the forest they're in..." Farnese visibly sweats, pointing out a second presence to which your impaired senses couldn't catch.
"Do you think it's the faceless monster?" You ask her.
"No idea. I would ease up since it can supposedly only disguise itself as a single person, but that doesn't mean these new characters can't have ill intent..."
>We're still wounded, let Guts plow through the forest.>Stop the caravan while we're at a safe spot, make a team to venture inside.>Attempt to communicate with the witches through telepathy, see what they are up to.>Avoid the forest, it would take longer, but you can go around it and maybe find a town past it.
