The first thing the Magos Dominus did was walk to the nearest door and begin to hack it. As he did so everyone formed a ring around him two weapons always pointed at the turrets at the far end. Lorch could easily swear that he was hearing the Priest pray under each breath as he pieced together the keys from the database.
Lorch began to count his own heartbeats as they waited in a moment to track time. One heartbeat, then the other heart gave its own beat. To the Astartes it was the only other thing that moved within this chamber of silence, for he even stopped his own breathing for these vital few seconds.
It was then that the sound of a door opening welcomed his eyes and the Astartes felt his battle brothers swing their weapons towards the newly opened door. For a second the air that had been stale for thousands of years mixed with the atmosphere of the outside. BUt Lorch never moved his arms towards the door, instead it was eternally stretched out towards the turret that would spell death upon them if the Magos made one wrong move.
+Blessed be the Machine God.+ Announced the Tech Priest as several of his Skitarii began to march in behind him. So many were now entering the place that Lorch wondered what exactly they were going into, but a picture from one of the other Astartes helm’s told him everything he needed to know.
“Follow them in. I want two guns pointed towards the entrance at all times.” Lorch said as he filed himself away into the hallway that they entered.
Several of the Skitarii were now scanning the area with each piece of metal being cataloged into their databanks. As they did so Lorched noticed something upon a nearby wall. His eyes slowly began to widen as he looked upon the picture that was that of a sun. Under it were characters that he read to be…
+Arizona State… to think that we found one of the ancient temples of knowledge!+ Cried the Tech Priest as he rushed over and brushed his hand across the star that sat above the letters, +Oh blessed Machine God thank you for this chance!+
+Sirs.+ L3KT called out that got the attentions of both Lorch and the Tech Priest, +I believe I have found an access port.+
Lorch watched as the Tech Priest stuck a mechanrite into the back of a furniture cabinet. It was hard to believe the joy within the voice of the Tech Priest as he spoke, +This is the internal communication network! We could have their Archives here and now!+
>Maybe we should move forward and find the server room instead.
>Let's hack it! Any information is good information
>See if we can coax the Machine Spirit to our side.
