You might be able to keep up with her were it not for the poison, but as it stands now she’s much faster than you are. What’s worse, you have a feeling that she could have attacked you another two times had she not gone after Elizabeth first. Left as you are, you estimate that if you push forward and attack her head on again, she’s likely to kill you. Perhaps attacking her from a distance with magic could work, but she’s already proven herself a competent knife-thrower.
From the corner of your eye, you see that Diana and Shelley are embroiled in battle with two nimble-looking corpse warriors and are being pushed back. You’ll receive no help from them. Behind you, Corrine is on her knees hovering over Elizabeth. The cleric is grievously wounded, but with Corrine’s attention she may be able to pull through. The other Blackwings have formed something of a shield wall at the entrance to the room. Those capable of ranged attacks hide behind the likes of Sebastian and Uriel as they launch volleys into the line of corpse warriors shambling forward. The enemy explodes, but they’re at a far enough distance that the mercenaries are unaffected by the poison mist that is released.
