It was most certainly doing the trick as you feel a lingering presence watching you as you got closer to the den.
Upon reaching the heart of the church, you were met with two figures at the altar. One of which was a ghostly male of impressive height and robust build, donning an all-white business suit or tuxedo. Complete with a large white top hat, matching white gloves, and a gentleman's cane. You didn’t need to be the world’s greatest detective to point out that the figure in question was the Gentleman’s ghost. His very essence was riddled with ectoplasm, specifically that of necroplasmic variation rather than just spiritual. What was a shocker was that you could pick up arcane energy emitting from the specter.
Taking your eyes away from the Gentleman’s Ghost for a moment, you spot what appears to be a woman with long raven black hair. Porcelain skin that was cold to the touch and pale as the night, a well-endowed figure with curves that could kill, cladded in a form-fitting raven dress with a golden belt. From top to bottom, this woman was rocking the vampiric look as you swear you could feel the vampire essence exuding from her. By proxy of elimination, this made the woman in heels nonother than Nocturna herself. Somehow fully turned into a vampire rather than an unfortunate rich maiden with a skin complexion problem.
“Look what we have here, an uninvited guest. Surely, they must be the ones who plucked the dark, supernatural forces that were plaguing this city.” The Gentleman spoke, acting rather dapper despite having every right to be upset about the loss of Dr. Gotham’s gambit with Barbatos.
“Is that so? Then we were fortunate to cast that spell on ourselves from this trusty book before it was too late.” Nocturna smiles, tapping a dark violet grimoire as she rests her left hand on her hips. “Now we don’t even need the magical hotbed to have enough strength to enact our plan. The full moon is more than enough.”
“Quite so, therefore if you would be so kind and skedaddle from the premises, we’ll be lenient and not send you to a watery grave.” As the Gentleman Ghost spoke, he soon snaps his fingers, causing the large door to open back up.
