The swarm of rats attack. While animated by some unnatural hatred for Nasir in particular; the group are still beset by biting mouths and gnashing teeth.
Nasir, thinking quick, jumps into the silver chariot that your party has sweat so much to get this far. In fact, his defense roll is so good he can help Elly jump in as well- keeping both of them more or less safe. While rats are excellent climbers; its a good enough barrier that they can't get past without getting clobbered by the dynamic trio of fighters- the Snail, Jon, and Richard.
But Richard, too preoccupied and injured from the previous encounter, ends up taking a bad bite to his bad leg. Without a defense roll- Richard has lost his leg. He's bleeding rapidly.
<span class="mu-r">"OOaaERRGHH!"</span>
This is bad. While Jon's armor and quick feet keep him mostly safe; even the Snail is taking a few bites from these seeking mouths. Without good enough attacks, the party is losing this combat.
<span class="mu-s">Whenever you fail to have enough high Attack rolls, you "lose" the objective of the combat encounter. In this case; leaving the dungeon with your big treasure haul behind- the tub.</span>
But even if you leave the heavy thing behind- there is still a tough choice you have to make.
>Leave Richard
>Sacrifice Nasir
