Maybe my obsession with grimdark rpgs has messed up all my interpretation of narrative, ha. I only really like Shakespeare tragedies. I can no longer enjoy Lord Of The Rings Aragorn kissing Legolas happy happy sunshine shampoo commercial, I like Polanski Macbeth (1971) as my idea of a fulfilling ending (also the costumes and cinematography, the original Dune Jessica oedipal mother lady is in that film)
Now I cannot cherish Tolkien as believable anymore and I can only accept and absorb endings like R Scott Bakker fantasy and whatever happened with the No-God sadomasochism world onanism apocalypse ending of the Unholy Consult novel lol (someone more knowledgeable than me about the books should make a quest with the Prince Of Nothing lore, there is literally an encyclopedia, the pseudo-Sumerian Old Testament Aramaic pseudoGreek Byzantine medieval crusade?
