Lucian knew the dangers of the creatures coming towards him. Each of them carrying between their muscles enough strength to crush a man into a butter-like paste. If they were given the chance then they would fling him around in attempts to remove him from his armor, likely deciding that the best action was simply to stretch him apart.
The two of them were quickly upon him as Lucian imagined the ruin they would wreath upon him. Imagination was almost becoming reality as the creatures for some reason tried to flank him and pincer him between their massive bodies.
Heart pounding Lucian threw himself back. The two monsters smashing the ground where he was once standing with battecries that were both deeply primal yet high pitch just like their brotherin. Robbed of an easy kill they both came towards Lucian with barks and bites, tongues rubbing their lips looking for the taste of blood that would soon be upon them.
These things were both beast and rat, Lucian decided. Their wits had been robbed but some of the fundimentals of being Skaven, such as ambushes, were still within their blood. They did not realize the tactic was being done but did it anyways.
He needed to stop that. He needed to make sure they were not able to surround him and go at him like wolves against bovine. Such a thing was not hard as he noticed a gap nearby that looked only wide enough for one of them.
He took it, throwing himself as fast as he could against the bellows of the enemy. The two Rat Ogres had gotten on all fours and were running like some brain dead human would. Their massive front arms throwing their hips forward so that their legs could catch the ground below them and allow them to swing the arms forward.
Cumbersome but fast. With such simple motions they were crossing ground even as Lucian had a faster start due to being the first actor. With a leap Lucian threw himself through the cracks into a modest size ditch whose purpose Lucian only understood because of the smell.
He had a moment to look up and watch as the two ripped at eachother in an attempt to get into the crevace. There was a sense of morbid fascination as he watched one of them bear his ratlike fangs and sink them into the neck of the other.
The betrayer tore his fellow to shred, scattering black blood like rain upon Lucian. There was no honor amongst rats its seemed and even their monsters were exemplars of this.
Throwing the two halves of its victim, the Rat Ogre threw itself into the chamber with Lucian.
