[SHENNU] "We must understand there is a difference between a mortal and Jenk. Obviously, as Jenk is a Demigod and not every mortal can hope to pull off what he achieves. But his great work moreover is to inspire us to do good as well.
[MAJORDOMO] "Err... not setting a very good example if he doesn't experience fatigue or run out of stamina..."
Jenk could be criticized in this manner, yes.
[SHENNU] "Jenk may be a Demigod, but he does not use magic in his methods. He works no differently than mortals and with no different tools. He is also not a person of stagnation, as they say he adopts new farming methods when discovered and explores them with his farm to refine the method. Unlike mortal farms, Jenk's is blessed by Nature, it will never die. Droughts and heavy rain cannot destroy it, and his crops will always grow regardless. In a way, he is running experiments with the Hainei and his tools. He gives farmers who pray to him these tips he discovers. He is a swell kind of Demigod, the kind of person to teach inventors new things about their own inventions, but not to show off. He means well, in the end."
The first plot we found ourselves among was the pumpkin patch. Even if a harsh winter were to fall on Jenk's farm, his crops would sprout nonetheless. Even as cold as it was, these pumpkins are healthy and they are large, easily prize winning, all of them. The brightest orange pumpkins I'd ever seen.
[WOLFBOY] "They must be delicious...! Wow! I wonder if Jenk's a good cook too... Mmmm... Pumpkin pie..." Said the Animal Demigod, salivating at the idea.
There was a simple house in the middle of his farm, above which a short windmill spun. The top of his house had a lightning rod in the shape of a rooster upon an arrow, which showed the direction the wind was blowing in. The chimney was puffing smoke, as he must have had something burning in there now.
As we approached his farmstead, I wondered where the man himself might be, until I heard the faintest voice from nearby. Near the household, a runic stone standing in Bedolfir's name was there, and I saw a figure knelt down in front of it with both hands together in prayer.
