You were pretty sure she didn't want anything to drink. The Zeta Candidate didn't blink, Haruki clearly had you set as her target. You had enough of angry girls for the day, sighing you pivoted. Doing a one eighty on your heels, you set off back across the rec room. Leaving your mug behind, the gamma boys weren't far. They were your best chance at back up. You caught glimpses of her from the corner of your eye, stalking you like some monster. You had to take the long way round, skirting the Beta Unit the best you could.
She was getting closer, faking a yawn and a stretch you looked behind. She was almost on top of you, looming over you as she kept pace. You increased your own, almost within range of the boys. Alex and Tony had noticed you, what was once smirks became serious looks as the pair stood up. You weren't sure if you looked panicked or flustered but they began to walk over. You feel her hand, it snatched at your wrist. Thankfully the swinging of your arm keeps it just out of reach. Skipping you burst forward, not trying to run and cause a full on confrontation. You let out a sigh of relief as the duo step past you to intercept the pilot.
Spinning you saw the pair standing almost face to face with her. She was taller than both of them. Thankful she hadn't walked straight through them, instead she stared directly at you. "391… it's been a while. Don't you remember me?" She spoke, well it was more of a growl. Through gritted teeth the words escaped. You didn't recognize her, you were sure you'd never met her before. You'd remember someone so tall. You felt weak again, but the shell held as the boys reinforced your courage. You take a step towards her, the boys giving a path. But only just, ready to intervene if the tall girl did anything. Others were watching now, the looks sending tingles down your spine. "I'm sorry I think you've got the wrong person." Her fist clenched, her breathing loud as she pulled air in through her nostrils, both flaring.
