2037-09-20: Against their explicit mandate, Colorado delegates caucus themselves with the Progressives. In a highly controversial and publicized move, Colorado Attorney General Smith orders the detainment of said delegates the next day, which occurs on the convention floor to the amazement of other delegates and intense heckling of Progressives. In response, the governor of Massachusetts (which had grown tired of the moderate demands of its compatriots) authorized its delegates to move to support the Progressives.
