>>6133976The Quiet One
The Quiet One's gambit is misintrepeted, as were Dirdiglio's gestures. As the flame goes out, the guard struggles, and only the moonlit stone wall is visible, Dirdiglio reaches out and grabs the easiest target, the guard's shortsword.
Dirdiglio pulls the clanking armor to his bars, and drives the sword into the guard's neck, cutting a scream before it truly starts. The cell door clinks open, Dirdiglio grabs the widow's crunchy loaf off the ground, and grins while he bites a chunk off. Without saying any words, Dirdiglio shrugs his shoulders and tosses the keys to Hernando, then runs away, making it into the night.
The other prisoners stare in awe for a few seconds before cheering and jeering at Hernando to start opening their cells.
The prison guard's blood spills out quickly from the massive trauma, catching the moonlight's reflection, and armored men can be heard moving about outside.
What is your next act?
>When Dirdiglio returns to his rebel fortress, snuff a torch in everyone's presence, to inspire him to tell the tale about the guard's lantern going out and his escape.>As punishment for murder (or for sheer amusement), render Dirdiglio mute for the rest of his days.>Unite the other 5 Spanish prisoners in their escape. They'll have to use the powers of charades, props, misdirection and implication to achieve freedom.>Write-in (anything)>>6133977Ace
The puny merchants fall one by one to the sticky, grizzled pirates. The fanciest, floofiest, frailest merchant sailors are captured and held for ransom. They absolutely refuse to change their story, saying that they have no gold, only return cargo and bills of purchase they can redeem on land. They stick to that tale even after another gutless ninny gets thrown to the circling hammerheads.
A snide merchant bites his lip and remarks "sorry, lads, looks like you've picked the wrong ship." That's when your divine light shines through the margins of the planks, revealing bright green, red, yellow and blue jewels. The enlightened pirates throw the lowly merchants to the deserving hammerheads. The chain is satiated.
Later that night, as the ship gently rocks, the pirate leader known only as Captain Driftwood stares into your holy booty. In the reflection of the gems, what do you show him?
>Visions of past, present, and future. What is Driftwood's future?>A new nation or target ripe for plundering (optional: where?)>Insight into the heart of his first mate Agorax, who wishes to usurp control of his ship and crew.>Write-in (could be something else entirely)
