>>5792023>“I’m really glad to see all of you too.” You smile. “When I fled the monastery…I had no idea if we’d ever meet again. I mean…I had no idea if I’d even survive. To be here with all of you now is something I’ll forever be grateful for.” You lift your tankard of ale up in a toast. “I hope the next time we get to do this, that the ale will be just as refreshing!”“Oh, Blair.” Mercedes giggles as if having just heard a joke. “The next time we meet, you’ll be writhing on the ground, screaming in torment.”
>“Wha-““The monastery?” Annete asks, bewilderment evident in her tone. “Do you seriously still think it’s 1180?” She barks a harsh laugh; unlike any you’d ever heard from her. “Are you an idiot or what?”
“I have to agree with Annette.” Sylvain says sullenly. “You must have hit your head when you were scurrying away like a rat from Gronder.”
“She really did forget.” Felix says amazed. “Figures a coward like you would be the one to survive. I bet you don’t even remember leaving me to roast alive when the Empire blew up that tower.” He scoffs, angry. “You turned out to be utterly worthless, didn’t you?”
>“That’s right…” You say, realization dawning on you. “You’re all dead…this is just a dream. A vision. You’re not real.” You slide your chair away from the table to get up, but Mercedes places her icy hand on your shoulder, preventing you from escaping. When you turn to look at her, you’re horrified by what you see.“Oh, we’re real, Blair.” It’s Mercedes…only she looks exactly like the last time you saw her. Back when she was lying on the cold ground at Gronder. Her right eye is missing, and you can clearly see where her limbs were broken.
“And we’re coming back for you.” Annette says. Her head is split open, just as you remember.
“We’re friends, after all.” Felix says. Petra’s dagger is lodged firmly in his throat. “And there’s still plenty of fighting left to do.”
“Thanks again for helping me get back the Lance of Ruin, Blair.” Sylvain stands. He’s covered head to toe in gore. “It’s going to be great when it slices through your body.”
“We’ll see you again real soon.” Mercedes whispers in your ear. Her nails dig deep into your shoulder, drawing blood. “I can’t wait!”
You scream as the four of them descend upon you. Darkness takes you once more, and you find yourself suddenly lying on the cold hard ground outside. You get back to your feet, shaken and sweating profusely. You suppress the urge to vomit and pray to the Goddess fervently that the visions were over. However, dread settles in as you recognize just where you were standing. You were outside the abandoned chapel where Kronya had taken you.
“HELP!” A voice cries. There was no mistake, it came from Martha. “Blair! Help me!”
>A): Enter the chapel.>B): Stay where you are.
