Holly releases Checkers and you're gritting your teeth in expectation of being spotted, but <span class="mu-i">somehow</span> these Team Green goons haven't noticed you and the Slowking, blessedly, hasn't pointed you out.
"Get ready with Fake Out and Reflect." You advise Holly in an undertone.
She nods.
"Safeguard first, then Reflect, then Light Screen." She says as you start creeping closer.
You nod, before addressing Volta and Kay O-o.
"Kay O-o, Dragon Dance. Volta, Agility." You instruct and they start using the moves as you get closer, more or less completely out in the open, the sand squeaking under your shoes loud in your ears as you get within easy earshot of the trio.
"-Don't care. Give us the relic and then we'll go. If you don't start cooperating, you're going to get <span class="mu-i">hurt."</span> The green-haired idiot says, doing his best to loom over the Slowking.
"I don't care. I've got a job to do and way scarier humans have tried threatening me before you."
Holly stops in surprise at the deep-timbred voice the Slowking speaks in and you're a little taken aback yourself, but considering Meowth, it's not as surprising.
You recover quickly, and keep creeping closer.
"This is the easy way. You don't want to try the hard way. The hardway involves the Boss and his associates visiting and burning this place to the ground." The green-haired leader says.
"This is a beach." The Slowking notes, deadpan.
"Right, that's it. Vileplume-" The leader begins, releasing the pokemon in question.
His book ends release a Golbat and a Houndour in preparation.
They all look to be about as strong as Kay O-o. Individually, they'd be a challenge for most of your team, but none of them look to be quite as strong as Slowking. Together, he could be in trouble though.
Fortunately, Kay O-o and Volta have been using Dragon Dance and Agility as they creep along beside you and under your aura sight are blazing with power.
"You want in on this, or you want to watch?" The Slowking asks, addressing you and Holly now, making the green-haired leader and his thugs spin to look at you, comically surprised.
