All semblance of 'civility' eroded, and people began doing what they really wanted to do.
Murders were committed. Rapes were had. Pillaging and looting was endless.
They began to chant, "He is Us."
It is what that entity was, it was accurate. He is Us. He is our darkest desires. He is the undeniable. The blackest existence of all, and we couldn't have us without him, neither would he have himself without us.

I... I would be a fool to say I was not afraid of that thing myself, more than I am of the Trinity.
