>Test out American Spirit, see if it’s viable for the upcoming combat against R Company
Back in the armory, now with the American Spirit instead of the gun. This time, it's Beta who's experimenting with it, with Jack (suited in the ARMOR OF THE FATHER) standing nearby to assist in the test.
"Alright." Beta shoves his arm deep into the heart. He grips onto the table with his free arm. "I'm going to need you to not hold back. Can you do that?"
"Sure can do, boss." Jack holds a crowbar in hand. On the ground is a spear, a knife, a club, and a silver rod. "Can't use any bullets but we can see how much that arm can take."
"Good." Beta rips his arm out of the heart, revealing a now-expected demon arm. He stuffs his human arm into the heart while waiting for Jack to make his move. The crowbar slams hard against the demon arm, causing Beta to convulse in pain...
But as he pulls out his other (now demon) arm, there's no major bruises on the arm that got hit. In return, Beta fires off a half-hearted punch. It sends Jack stumbling back even while he's armored. Luckily, the armor protected him from most of the blow.
The testing continues. The knife barely manages to scratch the man's arms. The club bounces off, and the rod only manages to leave a small bruise. The punches that Beta fires back are far more threatening, only being non-lethal through both holding back and the plate armor.
The last weapon to test is the spear. Jack picks it up with both hands and drives it as deep into the demon arms as he can. Finally, a blow gets through, digging pretty deep into the demon flesh...but it took softening it up with several blows to get anywhere.
As one last test, Jack stuffs his arm into the heart to see if it can affect more than one person. A few seconds pass by as he yanks his arm out. Both Jack and Beta are affected at the same time.
With both of Beta's arms transformed, it takes a bit longer for the effect to wear off. Only now are they starting to slough off and fall into a meaty puddle onto the floor.
It seems like the only issue is getting more than two or three people affected at once.
>Tell the Freedom Rangers that they have an admirer that would like to perform with them as well.
You wait until the performers take a break before sending them the news. It's rude to interrupt a good show, considering it keeps your employees entertained.
"Rangers. You have a fan that wishes to perform with you. Would you accept?" You keep the details vague because honestly, you're not totally sold on Star's deal, but you want to test the waters at least.
"Hm?" Teal looks at the others. "Well, wanna cast a vote on it? I'm fine with it."
The seven murmur with each other and tally up a vote between themselves. It doesn't take long for them to settle on an agreement. 5:2, majority accepting the unknown (to them) admirer.
"As long as they're not too disruptive, I suppose." Teal shrugs. "The others are fine with it."
