You do have what remains of a decent camp atop the hill, after all.Normally you would just rush down the hill into the midst of the enemy and destroy them all. A nice way to reaffirm your victory from yesterday, really let these Namadans know they were defeated. Feeling as rotten as you are though, you're not feeling so up to it today. That, and for the sake of your followers you figure you should try and find an alternate means to resolve this conflict, if possible.
Yelling for Cailinn then, you ask her to get the village leader to act in his same role as yesterday and go find out what the enemy wants. Well it takes awhile for the man to make himself presentable after having celebrated last night same as everyone, but when the Namadans see you and the scrambling effort to parley, they halt their advancing march temporarily. Enough for your man to ride down and meet them, converse and negotiate for a time, and ride back.
<span class="mu-b">"What? No I'm not going with them! They can have the camp if they want but we're not giving anything back."</span>
How strange... it seems rather than some revenge attack as you would have expected, the Namadans only want to reclaim the inventory of the camp, which they had to abandon in their hasty retreat. On the matter of revenge they have some desire to escort you alone with them back to their territory, but as far as Cailinn can explain it doesn't imply combat.
You can't do that to your followers though, to take away all the spoils they earned by joining with you when no others would... besides, the camp is already ransacked, so you doubt the Namadans will be satisfied with this. As for yourself, well you're not scared or worried about what they might do if you accompany them, but it's a request to uncertain and too much in their favor. Who knows what they might attempt?
No, you'll have to decline, and you say as much to Cailinn for her to relay to the Gaelans. The village leader can ride back down the hill to give the answer, after which upon his return the Namadans resume their advance and attack.
<span class="mu-b">"Little woman, tell the others to get back. Find shelter and deal with any who get past me."</span>
Arrows start to hail down amid the increasing rain of the morning storm, as you try to instruct your followers on some kind of hasty battle plan. Emboldened by the prior victory, they were of a mind to charge down the hill at the enemy alongside you. In a defense instead though, you get them to take cover within the wooden stake walls of the camp, and find any shields or protection against ranged attacks.
