The journey through the Network is arduous, leaving you constantly wondering if you’re about to go DMIA. A handful of curious Digimon show up, but anything that wanders too close is shot to pieces by Astamon, who isn't taking any chances. At one point, you come across some kind of filtration field that attempts to tear your bodies apart and sort it into aggregate data, but Astamon uses his software-breaking abilities to tear a gap in the algorithm and allow passage.
You're exhausted by the time you find a tiny beacon of light that leads into a far-too-small space, filled to the brim with an asset library of cans and bricks.
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"What kind of place is this?"</span></span> Pulsemon asks. During your journey, he's formed a daisy chain with Gizamon and Cutemon. His vivid green paw grips on to one of Gizamon's back spines, and his other one is gripping his boss tight. He’s had to blast several Rookies with bolts of lightning from his head.
"Vending machine. Good eye, Astamon."
"Why's it connected to the Network like this?" Ryan inquires, just as confused as your newfound ally.
<span class="mu-s">"Payment system, was it?"</span> Astamon offers.
"Exactly. They have to be synced to the Network to update the costs for all the items inside. So we- PULSEMON! Don't touch that."
He stops just shy of gripping a nutri-brick.
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"Jeez! What's the big deal?"</span></span>
