I suppose the modern obvious variant is Nathan Drake / Nolan North from the Uncharted videogames, he is literally Indiana Jones, although far more banal and generic I don't really remember anything about him. Indiana Jones has more iconic accoutrements like the whip, the hat etc the gun quickdraw versus scimitar swordsman scene etc. I fully completed every Uncharted videogame, I cannot remember anything that the protagonist did
