“..H-hey!” The undead protests from the corner. “What are you talking about?!”
“An undead’s organs are bound to its being by black magic.” The merchant smiles. “That sort of witchcraft does not play well with dolls. So, unless you’d like to create a monster, you may want to refrain from that line of thought.”
“Then, what of the replacement shell?” You prod her further, deep in thought. “I presume that’d entail ceding her organs from one doll body to another?”
“You’d be correct. Her body–-which can naturally heals organs by means of magic–is damaged.” The merchant continues. “If you transferred the organs to a functional shell, its magic would restore her to working order.”
“Then could you craft a new shell?” You ask. “Or do you have one already?”
“Well.. I am a doll.” The merchant lowers her head, and a font of silvery locks slip from the cloak’s hood. She smiles. “If you wanted to, you could kill me. Then you’d have a fresh shell.”
