>Crosstest with Velvet and Fortune. Employees (R, Beta, Gamma) are to keep Fire calm for the duration of the transport. Tau is to repair and upgrade Fire’s containment cell. Alpha and Emily, alongside Gamma, on standby.
The moment Beta (An old, weary veteran) opens the cell, Velvet slowly strolls out of the containment cell. Tau quickly sneaks in as the anomaly leaves.
She looks at the two agents and the dog. She bends together to rub Roxy (an oddly smart dog) on the head. The dog barks.
"Servants. Lead." Gamma adjusts his glasses as he and Beta walk ahead of the anomaly. She slowly follows after them, leaving burn marks along the ground.
Soon, they reach Fortune's containment cell. Seems like it went smoothly enough, outside of Beta and Gamma's face being beat red from heat exposure. She dismissively waves a hand to dismiss them as she enters Fortune's cell.
A dignified air follows the velvet-clad anomaly as she enters.
She stares at the set up of a fortune teller machine and a table sitting in front of it.
VELV: Intriguing. A teller of destiny.
VELV: Humor me, machine.
She tosses an old coin at the machine before kneeling down and folding her legs underneath her thighs.
The two anomalies simply stare at each other. The floor slowly get scorched as they wait.
The machine finally begins to shake after the staredown. The other anomaly jolts a bit at the sight.
VELV: How uncouth. How debasing. You should sit still.
And so it does. The shaking suddenly and abruptly stops.
A slip of paper slips out of one of Fortune's slots.
It flutters over to Velvet, catching ablaze as it passes by her sight.
FORT: "Favored Letters: R, Gamma, D, X. Hated Numbers of Day: 2, 3, 5."
FORT: "1100°C. Horoscope: Leo. You deserve and command respect. But how much of that respect and honor is warranted?"
VELV: What?
The paper burns away completely after being read.
VELV: You insolent swine! I shall not be spat on by a shaking box a commoner made!
Denying your original destiny only brings pain. Accept your place.
INSOLENT SWINE! I DESERVE WHAT I GOT!
A flaming ball of fire forms in Velvet's hand.
Okay, shit, shit! First bad crosstest, abort, ABORT! The ranger and the employees on standby quickly enter to get Velvet out.
A: Nope, nope, we're getting the lady out of here!
Employee A grunts in pain as he starts pulling the scorching hot anomaly out.
Ranger Zero holds the mini fire extinguisher you barely have any uses of at the ready.
The ball flies through the air but luckily avoids scorching Fortune with the prompt action of your staff
Once Velvet is out, her demeanor suddenly calms down. She's still burning brighter than when she entered. "I tire of this. Bring me back to my quarters." The now reserved anomaly huffs.
Tau leaves as Velvet is sent back to her cell. You know, it looks almost brand new, how the hell did she do it that quick?
