Certainly, to send our your infantry out to meet a Himmerian in melee combat is a death sentence. Even unarmed, the difference in strength and size alone makes the matter of fighting one to be almost impossible. You could see your pikemen putting some manner of resistance, long as their pikes are. Yet your Rodeleros? Your greatswordsmen? Your halberdiers? You are not sure they shall be able to fell as much as a single of their numbers before being cut down as hogs in the butchery.
And yet - they will buy you time in doing so.
You have ordered your muskets to come out of the woods, to advance to this plain that they may fire on the giants. You have ordered your cavalry to retreat, to avoid combat when the foe draws close. But the Bluefeathers are slow, and you are not certain they shall be here in time. At least, that is what it would seem like as you finally see the giants appear from the treeline, your horsemen galloping towards you as they try to outrun the advancing giants. They are...a sight to behold, to say the least.
Covered in a mixture of plate and chainmail of darkest gray, they charge along the field sword in hand, a sword bigger even than the giants themselves, a sword more like a butcher's cleaver made for war. It is these such warriors that advance towards you this very moment. You look to your side. Though the Bluefeathers advance as quickly as they can, their weapon is a heavy one. They need more time. And so do you. Sacrifices must be made to save your regiment - but how shall you do so?
