“The Necromancer-!” Lucian shouted as another swarm of the undead came upon him. These skeletons, equipped with shields, were finally putting forth resistance as Lucian had to not only chop through the undead but their sheilds as well, “We need to kill him!”
Lucian felt the horse behind him for in a swift fleet of foot, the large beast smashing a troop of the undead underneath its massive hooved feet with weight behind them. The slashing of a sword also sounded as the Knight upon the beast fought. Yet the Horse’s rearing was enough to give him a moment’s word, “The one upon the cart!?”
“Yes!” Lucian had another troop, this one just as numerous as the last come towards him with their swords battering against his armor. Taking his weapon by both hands the Knight slammed the staff of his scythe into the group and caused a wave of force to push the creatures back, “Together, we can get to him together!”
“Together!?” The Knight sounded outraged as if his honor had been further stained. Perhaps it had been, “We fight together because we simply are! That’s it!”
Taking his weapon into the air, the Black Knight quickly reaped the group infront of him. Luck would have it that he went through their feet, cutting the undead in such a way that their enchantment failed them. He took this moment to speak, “The Gods brought us together! Know this! Morr, Grimnir, and the Lady have!”
Lucian had to stomp on one of the skeleton heads as a group of Zombies came towards him. The strength of Drengi flowing through his blood yet the Knight was finding the wear and tear of battle mounting. He could not say what kind of injuries the fall earlier caused him, but they were likely not good.
With no response from the Prince he had to start the march, taking one step forward before sweeping through a horde of the undead. Another group quickly replaced them but the Knight was able to take another step as they advanced forward. A swipe of his scythe was the payment needed for another step through this pool of corpses, the snow already consuming them as he he eyed the Necromancer who laughed at their futile effort.
“FOR THE LADY!” The words were sounded as Lucian heard the stamping of feet from behind. Quickly rushing past him the Knight of Bordeleaux had charged through the undead bringing them all low underneath the feet of his mighty steed while making a line for the Necromancer.
Lucian quickly followed after, for while the horse could not gain so much speed it was both strong and heavy! Keeping the rear clear the Knight’s Lance and Horse turned all that were before them into an icy paste upon the ground.
