“I like that they spiced up the rules, so yes, but only a little.” You call it as you see it. Your major complaint is how short it was.
“I agree, we’re finding something here.” Esperanza looks a tiny bit excited after hearing your approval. “What about you, Loser? Gimme your opinion.”
“My opinion? I can’t find enjoyment in a scenario like this. It isn’t right.” Jesse won’t amuse any positive notion.
“Tch, did you watch the match? Nobody got hurt.” Esperanza has a point that the fight between Fiora and Galactic was as non-violent as it can get, but… “You’re acting like someone got gored again.”
“Sorry, dying left quite the impression on how these battles unfold.” Jesse glowered at the Judge.
“You don’t have to be so melodramatic, but I see your point.” Esperanza rolls her eyes despite putting some value in the former competitor’s words. She’s surveying properly to get the best out of this format. The girl with huge ears grabs the megaphone. “Congratulations, Galactic Calamity, you’re moving on to the finals. We’ll start the next round when you’re prepared.”
“UNDERSTOOD, [Judge]!” Calamity gives a thumbs-up in response.
“Also discuss your theme song with the Flying Referees in the back. So, if you may.” Esperanza points at the entrance.
“You did an admirable job, Galactic Calamity. I’m cheering for you!” Fiora wants her opponent to take the cup home.
“[HAEIOU], your kind words bring JOY to this [Explorer]!” Galactic stands triumphantly with both hands on his hips. “As long as you keep doing your best, we’ll meet again across the [Venus Line].” The astronaut salutes before leaping from the ring to the entrance in a moment’s time. You think this spaceman has a way with words that you can only admire.
“…What’s the Venus Line?” Fiora has no clue.
Esperanza starts dragging the little girl’s tiny body to the Jury stand with her powers. She’s now sitting in the middle, next to Jesse.
“You did pretty well for a tiny girl, former competitor.” Esperanza acknowledges Fiora’s effort. “Allow my Flying Referee to treat your exhaustion.”
“Thank you.” Fiora doesn’t get what the jellyfish is doing but she feels like she can’t protest. The spiritualist ends up falling asleep.
“Is she fine?” Jesse asks the merciless judge.
“She must’ve used a lot of her energy.” You point out.
“Exactly. She’ll be back in a second.” Esperanza has no doubts about it.
