>>6152066Using your free hand, you throw a punch at the creature’s leg, only to have your fist bounce off effortlessly. The Terror’s skin feels as hard as stone. You’d likely have a hard time cutting into it even if you had your axe on you. Instead of trying to hurt it, you grasp onto the talons that were holding you, attempting to pry them loose. The Terror’s grip on you is tenuous at best, held together mostly by its talons which are embedded into your armor. As it tries to carry you away, slowed down by your weight, you begin to pull the creature off you. It looks down with a confused screech, shaking its leg to try and get you to stay put. Your strength prevails though, and you succeed in prying it off.
You crash down to the ground below, rolling several feet before stopping. You’re shaken up, but are otherwise undamaged from the fall. You are followed by the Terror, which lands on the ground before you with an enraged shriek. It tries to attack you before you can get back to your feet, but is driven off by twin magic blasts fired by your companions.
“Lord Tristain! Are you okay?” Cassius asks. Him and Nadia stand at your side, while Cuthbert helps you back to your feet. You grab your axe and face off against the Terror, which is standing by and observing your group closely.
Nadia takes that moment to fire off a beam of light at the Terror. Just before contact, the terror leaps out of the way, and the spell explodes violently, sending dust and stone flying everywhere. Its tail flies out from within the dust storm, looking to skewer Nadia. Only at the last second is it stopped by Adeline, who is nearly sent flying back into the mage.

>“What the hell? This thing is fast! How are we supposed to catch it, let alone hurt it?”“Lord Tristain!” Nadia says. “The Terror is vulnerable against my magic! If you can just hold him still for long enough, I may be able to vanquish him!”
That was easier said than done. How were you supposed to distract this creature when it was not only faster than you, but had the advantage of flight? The Terror eyes Nadia closely, its razor sharp claws gleaming dangerously. After her last attack, it was settled on who its next target would be. If the Terror took flight again, you were not sure even Adeline would be able to protect Nadia from an attack from above.
